We Swim for Daniel...
Gone too soon! Daniel Vela, at age 21, passed away after a courageous battle to cancer on December 2, 2022. A Damascus HS graduate and beloved teammate on the Hornet Swimming & Diving Team. Daniel loved this time of year and had quite the collection of 'ugly sweaters'; he was known for sporting them with pride during the month of December.
Daniel is survived by his parents Fausto and Marisol Vela from Damascus, MD, his sister MIDN, Emely Vela from Annapolis, MD… Daniel was a third-year chemistry student at Canisius College in Buffalo, New York who was part of the early assurance program at Jacobs School of Medicine.
